The Fort Walton Beach La Quinta was wonderful surprise on our road trip home. While not directly on the beach, the hotel is easily accessible and close to everything. Some rooms even have a beautiful view of the bay. The property is undergoing massive renovations and updates. We were able to stay in one of the newly renovated rooms. It was truly one of the nicest rooms I have stayed in at a La Quinta. The brand new furniture, carpet, and paint were skillfully chosen to give the room a modern but comfortable feel. After a long day on the road from Orlando, the comfortable beds and quiet location were much needed.
The full free breakfast in the morning, was a great way to start our day the next morning. My kids we so excited they could make their own waffle! I cannot say enough about the staff, they were outstanding and went out of their way to make you feel at home. The manager truly takes pride in his hotel, and was there greeting guest when we walked in. This property is an excellent value, because you are not paying beach prices, yet you are less than five minutes from the beautiful shores. For us, for a one night stay on the way home to break up our drive, this hotel was perfect and we will definitely stay here in the future if we are in Fort Walton.
