I wrote this last year and it is happening again this year. The rain, while not as bad as 2015 (yet at least) has changed many travel plans for our family. For all outdoor activities make sure to watch the weather. We invested in a small weather radio for our trailer since our cell phone do not always get the best of service.

The main topic of our blog, and the way it started, is the story our camping adventures in our travel trailer. There has not been much camping lately around our area. We have been inundated with rain, great for our lakes, bad for camping. But now they are full and it’s still raining. And we will camp in the rain, flooding is a different issue.

Keep an eye out on your state parks social media and webpages to watch for closings and hiking conditions. Also keep an eye out for when they need volunteers to help clean up, some of the parks have been hit pretty hard. So here’s to a productive weekend at home, and to better camping weather ahead!
